Halfen Reconstructed Stone Systems |
| A range of support and restraint fixings, using cleats and cramps, and cast-in fixings including cast-in and plain-back channel. For use on cornices, copings and soffits and other recon and artificial stone applications. |
| Features such as copings, cornices and string courses are increasingly popular with architects, clients and planning authorities to ensure that new buildings are designed in sympathy with surrounding architectural styles. |
| The use of stone features can greatly enhance the aesthetic appeal of a brick facade and can be used to create all types of design |
| Both the heavily moulded features associated with traditional buildings and the clean sharp edged mullions and transomes used to compliment modern steel and glass buildings are becoming increasingly popular. |
| In most cases, these features employ the use of reconstructed or articifical stone and a wide variety of support and restraint features are employed. |
| This page details the range of support and restraint solutions available using cast-in fixings, cleats and cramps from Halfen. |

Stone Facades - General |
| Art or Recon stone may be semi-dry formed or wet cast. Individual units can be masonry size and bonded transitionally as work proceeds, however in many cases units are larger and require particuar/individual consideration for their restraint and support. |
Restraint and Support Fixings |
| In order to support and restrain the pre-cast units positive fixings need to be made to the structure and the pre-cast unit. |
Channel |
| which can be used to provide positive high load fixings which allow horizontal or vertical adjustment when erecting units. They can be cast-in to concrete frames or pre-cast units. Channels can be used in both support or restraint applications. Vertical channels used in restraint assemblies readily allows for differential movement. |
Sockets |
| Provide high load, threaded single-point fixings and can be cast-in to concrete units. |
Resin Anchors |
| where casting is not appropriate site drilled resin anchors can be used to fix support and restraint components. |
Halfen Reconstructed or Artificial Stone - Support |
| Particular consideration should be given to the support of 'art' or 'recon' stone features. |
